In this episode of Yoga Journeys Miss Melissa guides the children on a journey of tools that they could use to feel Good! We explore our Breath, Body and Mind and experience how each affects how we feel and how we could use them to help us feel better. From changing the way we breathe to changing the thoughts we think, we share tools that empower us to feel better in the midst of stress. Episode 3: Let's Explore a Yoga Vinyasa & Meet Compost John! (Approximate Run Time: 30 minutes)
In this episode of Yoga Journeys we explore a flowing sequence of yoga poses called a Yoga Vinyasa! The kids then meet Compost John! Compost John teaches the kids about backyard composting and the kids get their hands dirty as we explore home gardening!
Episode 4: Let's Explore the Sun Salutation & Meet Mojo the Kitchen Magician! (Approximate Run Time: 30 minutes)
In this episode of Yoga Journeys we explore the Sun Salutation, a challenging flow of yoga poses that energizes the whole body! The sun salutation is a great way to wake up, warm-up or use any time you might need to feel better. Mojo ‘the kitchen magician’ joins us and we explore the effect that food has on our body. We use kinesiology testing to determine if certain foods make our bodies weak or strong and then Mojo takes us all into the kitchen to explore some healthy food choices, try new foods, and make a healthy snack!
Episode 5 Let’s Energize! (Approximate Run Time: 30 minutes)
In this episode of Yoga Journeys we explore yoga poses and breathing exercises that help us feel energized. They are great to use when we are tired and need to ‘perk-up!’ We then journey to our local natural food store and meet Barry Kaplan who shares with us the energizing benefits of eating whole, unprocessed foods. The kids make their own organic peanut butter and even have a taste test exploring different food choices we have for breakfast!

Episode 6: Lets Explore Karate! (Approximate Run Time: 30 minutes)
In this episode of Yoga Journeys we visit the Master’s Tang Soo Do Academy in Hawley, PA. We explore some challenging yoga poses that help build strength and focus, learn alternative nostril breathing, and then the students show us what karate is all about! We explore karate forms, kicks, punches and testing as well as the principles of Tang Soo Do and the 8 Key Concepts of the tradition including courage, concentration, endurance, honesty, humility, respect and self-control.
